The Teeing Off for Terry Chair of Research
Terry A. Kersting loved life and having fun. She was quick to laugh, always up for a good time, rarely without a smile on her face, and never hesitated to tell you exactly what she thought. Her four daughters and new granddaughter meant everything to her. Terry was an amazing mother, grandmother, and friend to all. In February 2013, at just 54 years old, Terry suffered a ruptured brain aneurysm and passed away after a difficult fight. As an organ donor, even in death Terry was able to help other people.
In the summer of 2014, Terry’s family organized and held the first “Teeing Off for Terry” golf tournament with all proceeds going to the Brain Aneurysm Foundation to fund research. Terry’s family has continued to hold the tournament each summer and has raised nearly $90,000 for the cause.
In 2017, Terry’s family decided that the best way to honor her memory and provide hope for those who may suffer a ruptured brain aneurysm in the future was to fund the first Terry A. Kersting Chair of Research.
